
Melissa Fredin
Melissa Fredin, residing in SE MN with her spouse and eight children, boasts over two decades as a dedicated foster parent in Olmsted County. Presently employed by the MN Department of Human Services in the MN Intensive Treatment Foster Home, she also serves as an Olmsted County Crisis Nursery Provider. Previously, Melissa held roles such as Senior Parent Support Specialist for Families Rising (formerly North American Council on Adoptable Children) and Community Education Program Manager for Rochester Public Schools, overseeing K-12 programs.
Experiences
Her diverse experience includes seven years as a Family Engagement Coordinator at Proof Alliance (formerly MOFAS), supporting families dealing with FASD. As an adoptee herself, Melissa passionately dedicates herself to educating and supporting families in their journey. Her unique blend of insightful messaging, humor, and substantial knowledge permeates every aspect of her life.
In her leisure time, Melissa indulges in thrifting for vintage items and travels with her family. Holding a BA from Concordia University, she combines her professional expertise with a personal commitment to making a positive impact.
